The Ex-Yu Rock Centar’s exhibition – Šokiraš me, majke mi – highlights Sarajevo’s remarkable rock ‘n roll scene from 1980 to 1992. During this period, Sarajevo had one of the most dynamic and expansive music scenes in Yugoslavia – and in all of Europe – with several dozen rock bands and artists spanning various sub-genres including hard rock, pop-rock, alternative rock, post-punk and new wave. The exhibition on the Sarajevo scene will take place at Prima Center Gallery in Berlin, Germany from 16 to 30 October 2026. The exhibition includes a wide range of authentic original memorabilia and audio-video recordings from that era. Featured bands and artists include Zabranjeno pušenje, Bijelo dugme, Crvena jabuka, SCH, Divlje jagode, Indexi, Major, Bombarder, Elvis J. Kurtović and His Meteors, Merlin, Valentino, Zdravko Čolić, Jadranka Stojaković, Amila, Bombaj štampa, Bolero, Kongres, Plavi orkestar, Vatreni poljubac, Tifa Band, Formula 4, Letu štuke, Bonton Baya, Sikter, Scabia, Torpeda, Futur II, Najcrnja hronika, Teška industrija, Hari Mata Hari, Regina, Rezonansa and many others.
